What is Computer Programming  ?


Computer programming is the process of designing and writing instructions that a computer can follow to perform specific tasks. These instructions are written in special languages called programming languages.

In simple terms, programming is how humans “talk” to computers and tell them what to do.

Key ideas:

  • A program is a set of instructions.
  • A programmer writes those instructions.
  • A programming language (like Python, Java, or C++) is used to write the instructions.

What programming is used for:

  • Creating apps and software (like games, websites, mobile apps)
  • Automating tasks (e.g., sorting data, sending emails)
  • Controlling machines (like robots or cars)
  • Analyzing data and solving problems
